Photo Journal: Pizza, Pals & Prepping For Paris
It's been a slow few weeks as I recover from my surgery - so come and take it easy with me.
I’ve been a sickly pig these past few weeks so I’ve been taking the time to take care of my health and live life in the slow lane (something I’m not so brilliant at doing - what’s life without six projects on the go?).
As I’ve been on bed rest, I’ve managed the waddle back and forth from the sofa to our London Eden (aka our back garden). It’s been nice to just spend some time putting my feet up in the sunshine, soaking up the last of August’s sun drenched days . Reading with a iced latte in hand brought to me by my dotting husband and hairy nurse Tiger. There’s definitely worst ways of recovering, that’s for sure.
With this being said my photo journal this week is comprised of the perfect trio, pizza, pals and prepping for my upcoming trip to Paris. There’s something magical about the combination of good food, great friends, and the excitement of a trip on the horizon.
Last weekend, was the perfect trifecta: homemade pizza cooked in our new pizza oven in the garden with my best pals and a little bit of extra time to plan my upcoming trip to Paris with the family.
I love having people over, usually for more extravagant and rowdy gatherings, so it was a lovely change to just sit back and relax a bit and have a more chilled dinner (where I didn’t have to cook!) There’s something so comforting about sharing food with the people you love, giggling and and chatting intently between bites of cheesy pizza!
Earlier on in the day I started mapping out our four day Paris Itinerary, swapping ideas via Facetime with my folks. Writing lists of must-see spots and hidden gems. Luckily we’re able to see the Eiffel Tower from our hotel balcony, so we have more time for french patisseries.
Je prend un pain au chocolat, s'il vous plaît!
I can’t believe the trip is so close now! It’ll give me all the inspiration to get healthy again and I’ll be back to stomping around the streets of London in no time. Let me know your recommended reads that I should take to Paris with me in the comments below.
Bon voyage, and until then, more pizza nights with pals, please! 🍕✨
